GRIST
1. Grain brought to a mill to be ground.
2. Anything that can be turned to profit.

NOBODY HAS LANDED YET
WHAT IT IS
Free to play.
No box price and no subscription. You arrive with a rig, a plot and a Crown loan to pay back, and so does everyone who lands after you.
The economy is run by players.
Nobody at a desk decides what steel is worth. A price is what somebody paid for it this morning, and every one of those somebodies is a person.
The industry is run by players.
Every road, wire, refinery and frontier on the planet was put there by a company with a name on it. The record does not forget who built what.
It runs while you are at work.
Set the yard up and close the tab. It keeps producing, and it tells you exactly what happened while you were gone.
AND WHAT IT IS NOT
It is not a story with you at the center.
There is a Crown, a clerk at the counter and rules older than you are. None of it is waiting on a hero. Almost everything that happens to you will be caused by another company.
Prices are not set by us.
Nothing on the market is worth what a designer decided. It is worth what somebody who actually needed it was willing to pay for it this morning.
Writs never change hands between players.
They move through the exchange and nowhere else. Nobody can be talked into handing one over, pressured out of one, or scammed for one, because there is no way to pass one.
Nothing bought outbuilds something made.
Money buys Writs. Writs do not make a furnace hotter, a hauler quicker or a plot larger than the one next door.
THE LANDING MANIFEST
Being early is worth something real.
The first companies on a planet get an economy nobody else will ever see again. Empty ground, no competition, and a market they make instead of join. The manifest is simply the order people reserved in. If the alpha opens with a limited number of seats, that is the order they go out in.
Vouch for somebody and you both move up. Everyone you bring lands ahead of the queue behind you.
BUILT IN THE OPEN
You can watch it being made.
Thirty modules, every one designed on paper before a line of it was written. The board shows what is finished, what is being built, and what is waiting on something else. It reads directly from the codebase. Nobody types this number.
A module counts as built when its conformance tests pass, and not before. Half of one working is still zero here.
ON THE LIST. NOT PROMISED.
Discord, without leaving the yard.
Your frontier is a group of people. Talking to them should not mean a second window.
Your own music while the yard runs.
Sign in to what you already listen to and play it from inside the game. This one is being looked at, nothing more.
